Free Children's Eyecare
Children of all ages are welcome to come and have their eyes checked for free under the NHS. The school years place a high demand on your child's eyes and vision, so regular eye exams are critical to ensure your child's eyes are school ready.
Why children’s eye examinations are so important
Healthy vision is crucial for a child's development, learning and overall well-being. Research has shown that one in five school children have an undetected eye problem. As 80% of a child’s learning occurs visually, regular eye exams are important to pick up vision problems at an early stage, to ensure their visual health continues to develop as they grow.
Your child’s eye exam
Children's eye exams are carried out by our experienced optometrists in a fun and friendly way. Children can get their eyes examined even before they’ve learned how to read as we’ve created special tests that use lights, colours and pictures instead of letters.
If glasses are needed, we have an extensive selection of cool, trendy frames including designer ranges. We also provide sports eyewear, including football and rugby goggles, for the next generation of sporting superstars.
